Community Involvement

ETA believes in contributing to the well-being of others and giving back to the community. Every year, ETA employees participate in various charitable efforts in and around the Philadelphia area.

Toys for Tots Collection Drive  
Thru December 2009
For the second year, ETA will be collecting donations for Toys for Tots.  Our goal is to raise $2,500.  With a weekly 50/50 put in place for employees, everyone gets a chance to help the community and have fun at the same time.  Visit the Toys for Tots website at www.toysfortots.org to find out about the huge impact this organization is having on communities nationwide.

The NTR Computer Thrift Store  
October 10, 2009
ETA will help sort and organize donated equipment so it can be distributed to those in need.  The Nonprofit Technology Resources serves low-income Philadelphia residents by recycling used computers, providing hands-on training and assisting community-based services organizations to use computers in their work.  To learn more about NTR click here.

City to Shore Bike Tour
October 3rd and 4th, 2009
For the fourth year running, ETA employees, family and friends are joining together to participate in this year's City to Shore Bike Tour fund-raising event for the National Multiple Sclerosis Society.  Learn more about City to Shore.  

The Care Package Project  
May thru July 2009
ETA's goal was to raise $110 to send two packages.  ETA ended up raising $440 to donate to The Care Package Project.  That means eight marines will receive a care package!  The Care Package Project is an organization run by parents of Marines who take the donations and create care packages for Marines in Iraq and Afghanistan who do not receive packages or mail from family or friends. They ship over 1,000 care packages five to six times a year to those Marines in Iraq and Afghanistan.  Learn more about The Care Package Project.

Read Across Philadelphia 
March 2009
ETA was proud to take part in this year's Read Across Philadelphia initiative celebrating the birthday and legacy of Theodore Guisel, better known as Dr. Seuss.  Organized by Philadelphia Reads, a non-profit organization promoting child literacy, five ETA employees took part by reading to students at Dobson School in Philadelphia.  Learn more about Philadelphia Reads.

Philadelphia Cares Day
October 18, 2008
ETA is honored to participate in the upcoming Philadelphia Cares event, a marathon day of service that provides our children more attractive, functional, and safe learning environments.  Team ETA will join more than 500 local volunteers to help paint, refurbish, landscape, repair and beautify over 100 local schools.  For more information, visit  The Philadelphia Cares Day Website

City to Shore Bike Tour
September 27th and 28th, 2008
For the third year running, ETA employees, family and friends are joining together to participate in this year's City to Shore Bike Tour fund-raising event for the National Multiple Sclerosis Society. This year's goal is to raise $7,000 for the MS Society.  

Caring People Alliance Yearly Golf Outing
May 13th, 2008
As a commitee member, ETA Partner Ed Terry along with fellow leadership helped to organize and fundraise for Caring People Alliance's yearly golf outing.  This was a day filled of fun, food and golf with the ultimate goal being funds raised for the organization's programs and services.  Caring People Alliance is an organization dedicated to serving children and strenthing families throughout Philadelphia.  Learn more about Caring People Alliance.

Read Across America
March 2008
